How to manage your UXCam subscription, limits, and overages?

This article explains how overages work, what happens when you reach your session limit, and how you can manage these settings.


What Happens When You Hit Your Monthly Limit?

  • Continued recording: When overages are turned on, UXCam will continue recording sessions even after the limit is exceeded.

  • Additional charges: You will be billed an overage fee for the extra sessions. The cost for 1,000 extra sessions depends on your plan.


How Will You Know You’re Approaching or Exceeding Your Limit?

Notifications

  • Set usage alerts: You can configure a session usage alert in your Subscription settings to receive an automatic email notification when you reach a specified percentage (e.g., 90%) of your limit.

⚠️ Be mindful that the person who is logged in when setting up the alert will receive the email notifications.


Managing Overages

How to Stop Recording with Overages

  • You can stop recording manually anytime in your Subscription settings:

    • Navigate to the Subscription settings page.

    • Click the red button that reads “Don’t exceed limits this month” to stop recording. (This action is reversible.)

    • The text will update to show the overages have been turned off for the month and you now have the option to turn the overages back on. Simply hit the “Continue capturing data” button.

⚠️ Recording will automatically stop when you reach 100% of your limit. You will need to repeat this action each month if desired.

How to Confirm if Overages Are Enabled

  • Subscription settings: You can verify the status of overages anytime in your Subscription settings.
