Smart filters let you use natural language to filter data, eliminating the need to manually navigate through various filter options. Simply type queries like "Show me sessions with crashes in the last week," and smart will automatically apply the correct filters.
This feature streamlines your data analysis, saving you time and effort.
Key benefits
- Ease of Use: No need to remember complex filter parameters or their locations—just type what you need, and smart filters does the rest.
- Time-Saving: Quickly access the data you want without navigating through multiple filters.
How to write your filter request?
To ensure smart filters understands your query and provides accurate filter suggestions, here are some tips on how to structure your query:
- Check for Supported Attributes : Ensure that the filter attributes you mention are supported by the platform and can be searched for manually.
- Example: Use "App version x.x.x" which is an available filter, rather than a non-existent attribute like "Sessions with a green button click."
Steps to Use the Smart Filters:
Smart filters can be found in the Session List or Analytics as well as Event List or Analytics.
1. Click on Filters > Smart Filters.
2. Enter Your Query: In the search bar, type your query in natural language.
- Sssions with crashes in the last 7 days.
- First sessions of users.
- Sessions with only internal users.
- Sessions with videos from Android.
3. AI Suggestions: The AI will analyze your query and automatically suggest the most relevant filter parameters. If the AI suggestion is good for you, just click on apply as a filter and it will be applied to your data. If not, you can click on "Try another prompt" and try again by making the prompt as clear as possible.
4. Refine Filters (Optional): Once you have applied as filter, you can further add filters if needed manually. You can see the filter applied as usual and you can add filters manually. However, smart filters is designed to handle most queries efficiently without manual adjustments.
Pre-made prompt suggestions to understand the process
- Example prompt 1: Sessions with frustration
- This prompt will suggest the filter to get the sessions with rage tap and UI freeze.
- Example prompt 2: Sessions longer than 5 seconds
- This prompt will suggest the filter to get the sessions with its duration greater than 5 seconds.
- Example prompt 3: Sessions with videos from android
- This prompt will suggest the filters to get the sessions containing video from android devices only.
