What are custom user properties ?
Aside from what UXCam automatically captures, you can enrich your behavioral and user data thanks to custom User properties. You can send up to 100 additional user properties you might have such as age, gender, loyalty status, or acquisition source.

By default, UXCam captures some information automatically about your users. You can see these under user properties in filters. You can read more about these here

Why send user properties?
Sending additional user properties will help you:
Segment Users: Have a better understanding of your users’ actions, create Have a better understanding of your users’ actions, create segments, and discover how behavior changes between different audiences.
Identify users: Easily identify your users with a unique User ID to pinpoint their issues and provide better support. Identify your users across multiple devices. (Web & Mobile)
Examples of User Properties to send
You can send additional user properties to gather more insights or to easily filter or group sessions, users, or events by specific user properties.
Here are some common user properties to consider:

⚠️ We recommend not sending PII data, such as email address or phone number, and instead, send your own unique User ID to UXCam. However, if you do need to send PII data, you will need to sign a DPA agreement with us. Please contact team@uxcam.com to discuss it.
