Gain deeper insights into Web analytics

UXCam for Web is a product analytics tool that helps you understand how users interact with your website or web application. By capturing session replays, user actions, and frustration signals, UXCam provides deep insights into user journeys, helping you optimize usability and conversions.

With UXCam Web, you can:

  • Record and replay sessions to see exactly how users interact with your website.

  • Analyze behavioral patterns such as rage clicks, dead clicks, and U-turns.

  • Segment users based on browser, device, referrer, or UTM parameters.

  • Monitor user flows and conversion funnels to reduce drop-offs and improve conversions.

  • Track custom events and user properties for deeper insights.

By integrating UXCam Web, businesses can identify usability bottlenecks, reduce friction, and optimize digital experiences.

What is automatically captured?

UXCam Web automatically collects a variety of user interactions and technical properties without requiring additional setup. This auto-captured data ensures you start getting insights from day one, without needing developers to set up event tracking manually.

1. Auto-captured Properties

The following user details are captured automatically in UXCam Web:

Property

Description

Browser

Detects browser type (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)

Browser Version

The version of the browser used by the user.

Operating System (OS)

the operating system of the device, e.g. iOS, Windows, Linux, Android.

2. Auto-Captured Events

UXCam tracks key user interactions without any additional setup:

Event Name

Description

U-Turn (uxc_u_turn)

Triggers when a user navigates to a page and quickly returns to the previous page.

Page Refresh (uxc_page_refresh)

Captured when a user reloads a page.

Dead Click

Detected when a user clicks on a non-responsive element.

Rage Tap

Occurs when a user rapidly clicks the same element out of frustration. (When the user clicks (more than 3 times) in frustration, with at most 300ms between consecutive clicks, and within a certain radius of the screen.

Form Submissions (uxc_submit)

Triggered when a form is successfully submitted.

Input Changes (uxc_input)

Triggered when a user modifies an input field.

URL Navigation (uxc_url_navigate)

Captures when a user moves between different URLs. (Similar to screen visit) When navigating from one URL to the other, it contains Query data and it's sent as an event.

These events help teams identify usability issues and optimize web experiences.

What is occluded by default to protect user privacy?

UXCam automatically occludes input fields that are likely to contain sensitive information. By default, input fields are occluded if they meet any of the following criteria:

  • Input Types: password, email, tel, hidden, number

  • Input Names Containing: password, cc-, email

  • Autocomplete Properties Containing: cc-, address, phone, email, password

Note: Occluded input field texts are replaced by asterisks (****), and numbers are replaced by 0000. Learn more about default occlusion settings.
