With UXCam you can go to the next level and fully understand your users’ journey. We identify and collect all the interactions of your users with your app, from visited screens, engagement time, devices, location, and gestures. In addition, we record videos of each visit to your app.
Analyze traditional metrics that allow you to understand the number of active users, the most frequent actions, features adoption, abandonment rate, and much more.
Go further with the video recordings, to observe the behavior of your users in a real context, considering the distractions and stimuli that surround your users when using your application and that cannot be replicated in a test environment.
💡 Have you ever wanted to have a camera to observe how a user interacted with your application? Now you have it!
Here are a few examples of how you can analyze your users’ journey:
- #1 Analyze how your users navigate through your app
- #2 Highlight and analyze certain paths in your app
- #3 Compare the user journey between different segments
- #4 Understand dropouts and discover the most common exit paths
- #5 Analyze how key screens are positioned within your users' flow
#1 Analyze how your users navigate through your app
Use the Screen Flow to see how your users navigate through your app. Identify patterns in the screen transitions, discover what are the most common paths to conversions and which ones need optimization, and uncover bottlenecks.
- Check the percentage of visits to each of the screens
- View the transitions from one screen to another
#2 Highlight and analyze certain paths in your app
Focus on key flows within your app to understand how your users go from screen A to screen B. Are users following the happy path? What's their journey to achieve their goals? For instance, you can discover what screens your users visit before completing a purchase or see what’s the most common flow after visiting the cart screen.
- Select Start with [select the screen you want to highlight e.g. cart_activity]
- View the highlighted flow from that screen onwards.
#3 Compare the user journey between different segments
Identify behavioral patterns based on devices, platforms, engagement, activity, or user properties such as age, gender, or subscription type.
- Create a segment or apply a filter
- View the Screenflow and compare it with a different segment
E.g. Compare the flow between Android and iOS users, or between tablets and smartphones.
See how the journey looks for first-time users vs active users that used your app more than 10 times.
Compare the journeys between high converters vs non-converters. What’s the difference between users that completed a key action vs those who didn’t?
#4 Understand dropouts and discover the most common exit paths
Check the reverse flow to understand what screens your users visited before closing your app. Go to the session list, filter by those screens, and view the recordings to determine the reasons for exiting your app and identify issues or roadblocks.
#5 Analyze how key screens are positioned in your user flow
Focus your analysis on the screens that add major value to your product, or screens that are key to conversion. For instance, you can filter the screen flow by screen visited = Order confirmation to see what screens your users visit before and after confirming the order to discover any alternative paths.
