Within one UXCam account, you can create multiple apps. Apps in UXCam can be used to integrate a different product or to integrate different environments.
If you want to integrate different mobile products, please reference your contract for the number of apps allowed per your subscription.
Additional environments don't have an additional cost, and it's highly recommended to create different apps to separate your staging and production environments.
💡 Defining and separating environments at the beginning will help you keep your data clean and reliable.
To create a new application in the Dashboard you must log in and click on App name > Create new app > Name your app > Obtain app key
When creating the new app you will get an app key that you can use at the time of integration. Consult with your technical team to integrate the environments separately.
You can also use a new app to separate iOS and Android data. However, keep in mind that this is not the recommended approach because you will need to export data from both accounts and combine it if you want to see a comprehensive report. By having one app for both platforms, you can easily compare performance, user behavior, conversions, etc. by using our 'platform' filter.
Once the new app is created, a pop-up will appear on the screen to name the App (you can always change this later). Once complete, the new app will show in the left-hand menu item with your other apps.
Delete an app
The Account owner and Organization Managers can delete any apps from UXCam Dashboard. While App managers can delete the app(s) they manage.
❗️IMPORTANT - If you delete an app, the data will be lost and can't be recovered. Please make sure you only delete apps that you no longer need.
Click on your app name (top-left corner) > Select all apps > Find the app you want to delete on the list > click on the trash bin
Then enter the name of your app and click 'Delete'
