Within UXCam, you are able to create another app. Please reference your contract for the number of apps allowed per your subscription.
You can think of an app as another account within the same organization. When you create a new UXCam app you are able to toggle between apps as long as you and your team have access. See here for team access.
For example, if you have an app called "My Great App", you will want to have 2 UXCam apps. One for development and one for production.
If you have 2 apps, let's call them "Hello World" and "Hello Outerspace", you would want 4 UXCam apps. One for development and one for production, per app.
Some of our clients prefer to separate iOS and Android apps. If you do this, keep in mind that you will need to export data from both accounts and combine that data if you would like to see a comprehensive report.
It is recommended to house all production data from one of your apps in one UXCam app, this way you have all the data in one instance and can filter based on platform, device, etc.
To create a new app
Click on the name of your app in the top left-hand corner of your UXCam dashboard and click Create new app.
Reminder: it is recommended to create separate apps for different environments, e.g. staging and production.
Once the new app/account is created, a pop-up will appear on the screen to name the App (you can always change this later). Once complete, the new app will show in the left-hand menu item with your other apps.
The managers of your organization will receive an email notification about the newly added app/account.
Delete an app
If you create an app by mistake, you can delete it.
>>>> PLEASE ONLY DELETE APPS THAT YOU NO LONGER NEED, IN ANY CAPACITY <<<<<
>>>> This process cannot be undone and all recording sessions data will be lost <<<<<
Navigate to the account/app you wish to delete. Choose recording settings, click on the pencil icon next to the app's name and you'll see the option to delete (on the right-hand side).
Once the app is deleted, there will be an email notification about the app's removal.
