Labeling the sessions you watch in UXCam offers several valuable benefits that can help you make better-informed decisions and improve your app's user experience.
Use labels to categorize and organize your sessions while watching them. You can label sessions based on different issues or drop-off reasons, or label users to identify behavioral patterns. This will make it easier to find and focus on the sessions that matter most. These labels are shared with everyone on your team, so team collaboration, sharing insights, and investigating bugs will be a breeze.
Session Labels vs. User Labels
UXCam offers two distinct label types: Session labels and User labels, each serving specific purposes. These labels are categorized based on where you create them – either within the session tab or the user tab.
Session Labels are applied to individual user sessions. You can use labels to categorize sessions based on specific issues such as payment issues or login issues. Creating Session Labels helps you quickly identify and analyze sessions related to particular aspects of user interaction.
User Labels are applied to individual users. They provide a way to label users based on common characteristics or behaviors, or to identify unhappy or problematic users.
How to create labels?
There are two ways you can label sessions. Creating labels is the same for session labels and user labels.
1. Go on session list / users tab and hover over the label icon available on each session. Click on add label for a new label or select an existing label to apply it.
2. Click on a specific session, click on labels on the upper part and then select existing labels or just type a new label and hit enter to add it.
How to filter by labels ?
You can filter for the labels you have created in different areas in UXCam.
Sessions List: Filter by a label to identify all sessions with the label. Just click on add filter or the quick filter custom labels, and chose the label that is relevant to you.
Users : Filter by user labels to identify and find the relevant users you are trying to analyze.
Note : You can filter by both session and user labels in session list but only by user labels in users.
Dashboard : Create reports and filter by labels if you would like to consider only specific labeled sessions.
App flows: Analyze the journey of specific labeled users such as newly onboarded users or angry users who left a very low NPS.
What kind of labels can I use?
Abandoned Sessions:
- Labeling abandoned sessions helps you pinpoint common reasons users leave the app without completing desired actions.
- Reduce abandonment rates by addressing issues contributing to user drop-offs.
Error/Bug Labels:
- Labeling sessions with errors or bugs allows you to prioritize and address critical issues in your app.
- Observe the circumstances leading up to the error to gain insights into potential causes and troubleshoot effectively.
Feedback or Support Labels:
- Sessions with feedback or support interactions can highlight pain points and areas needing improvement.
- Use this feedback to prioritize feature enhancements and improve your app's support processes.
