đ New as of July 18, 2025: Option to store data in the EU
You can now store your app data in the European Union, in addition to the previously US-only storage option.
For Enterprise Plan customers, you can now store different apps in different regions. (One app in the EU, another in the US)
Until now, all app data in UXCam was stored in the United States by default. This limitation has created friction for customers and prospects with regional data residency requirements, particularly in the EU.
With this new feature, organizations can:
Ensure greater compliance with local data regulations
Choose a preferred storage location for each new app created
âď¸ How it works
When you create an app in UXCam, you'll be prompted to choose a data storage region: US or EU. This choice determines where your data will be stored.
Here's what the selection screen looks like:
If you're on the Enterprise Plan, you'll be able to select the data region for each app individually. This allows you to store different apps in different regions.
If you're on a non-Enterprise Plan, the first app you create defines the default storage region for your organization. All future apps will follow this region unless you upgrade to Enterprise.
Reach out to team@uxcam.com or via the chat button to get more info on how to get access to multi-region support.
Can I move my app's data storage location?
Itâs not possible to change the data storage location of an existing app or migrate historical data between regions.
If you really need to store data in a different region (e.g., move from US to EU), youâll need to:
For Non-Enterprise Customers:
Youâll need to delete all existing apps to change your organizationâs default region.
When you create a new first app, youâll be prompted to choose a data storage region (US or EU).
All future apps will follow that region.
A new appKey will be generated â update your codebase to begin capturing data in the selected region.
â ď¸ Keep in mind, historical data from the old app wonât carry over
For Enterprise Customers:
You donât need to delete your existing apps.
You can simply create a new app in the EU while keeping your existing app(s) in another region.
Each new app can have its own storage region.
A new appKey will be generated â update your codebase to begin capturing data in the selected region.
â ď¸ Keep in mind, historical data from the old app wonât carry over.
